    Uzbekneftegaz and INTI sign memorandum to enhance standardization in oil and gas industry

    During the "Technical Day" conference organized by Uzbekneftegaz and the Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives (INTI) of the Russian Federation, a step forward was taken with the signing of a Memorandum to improve standardization and conformity assessment in the oil and gas industry, Uzbekneftegaz reported.

    The conference witnessed the convergence of representatives from prominent enterprises specializing in equipment production within the energy, oil and gas, and automation sectors. Distinguished speakers emphasized the critical role of adhering to standards, particularly those developed by INTI, in ensuring operational excellence and industry-wide compatibility.

    INTI, renowned for its commitment to fostering industry standards, has developed over 170 standards spanning various domains including equipment utilization in production, pressure devices, rotary and pumping equipment, automation, and building codes. Throughout the conference, specialists from INTI delivered insightful presentations elucidating the nuances of these standards.

    Parallel sessions were dedicated to deliberating the implementation of international standards in Uzbekistan, their integration within manufacturing enterprises, and their alignment with local technical regulatory frameworks. Moreover, discussions revolved around contemporary strategies to bolster demand for geological exploration, technological equipment, and logistical services both domestically and internationally.

    The signing of the Memorandum between Uzbekneftegaz, the Institute of Standards of Uzbekistan, and INTI underscores a collective commitment to advancing standardization efforts within the oil and gas sector. This agreement builds upon years of collaboration between the parties, characterized by rigorous review processes and the endorsement of essential standards.

    Uzbekneftegaz stands as a contemporary, vertically integrated corporation comprising more than 50 entities, encompassing 13 joint ventures and 10 key enterprises engaged in hydrocarbon production and processing.     The Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives (INTI) operates as an independent non-profit entity, serving as a collaborative platform for oil and gas, petrochemical, and engineering firms, alongside equipment manufacturers. Its primary objective revolves around fostering industry standards and establishing a voluntary certification framework. INTI aims to facilitate constructive dialogue between foreign licensors and domestic equipment producers. By setting industry standards, INTI seeks to streamline manufacturers' requirements and bolster the utilization of Russian materials and equipment in major investment ventures.

    Through its standardization committees, INTI is dedicated to crafting and upholding standards across various domains, prioritizing safety, performance, and reliability.
