Kazakhstan's KazCenter teams up with Bioworks Verfahrenstechnik for housing modernization

Kazakhstan's KazCenter teams up with Bioworks Verfahrenstechnik for housing modernization

The Kazakhstan Center for Modernization of Housing and Communal Services (KazCenter of Housing and Communal Services) has inked a Memorandum of Cooperation with Germany's renowned water and wastewater technology firm, Bioworks Verfahrenstechnik, the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan reported.

The memorandum was signed by Adilkhan Umerbaev, Chairman of the Board of KazCenter of Housing and Communal Services, and Markus Vollmer, General Director of Bioworks Verfahrenstechnik GmbH.

Bioworks, a distinguished expert in designing and constructing water and wastewater facilities, brings to the table cutting-edge technology that promises to revolutionize the sector. Central to their collaboration is the introduction of the OXIRISE aerator flushing and maintenance system. Developed by Bioworks, this system boasts a blend of energy efficiency, sustainability, and ease of maintenance, setting new standards in the industry.

The OXIRISE system is founded on the principle of conserving energy and costs through fine bubble aeration. Having undergone rigorous testing in activated sludge stations and aerated ponds, the system's highly efficient OXIWORKS fine bubble aerator surpasses larger air bubbles in delivering high oxygen transfer rates.

Under the Memorandum, both parties have committed to cooperating in earnest, leveraging their expertise and experience to ensure the success of joint ventures, including those within the framework of public-private partnerships (PPP). Key aspects of the agreement encompass the swift exchange of information to expedite project preparation, the formulation of environmentally and economically sustainable solutions aligned with local standards, and active engagement with stakeholders.

Markus Vollmer, General Director of Bioworks, underscored the potential for collaboration in developing innovative solutions that contribute to the sustainable advancement of Kazakhstan's water supply and sanitation sector. Meanwhile, Adilkhan Umerbaev, Chairman of the Board of KazCenter of Housing and Communal Services, expressed confidence in the partnership's ability to yield significant outcomes, paving the way for the realization of pivotal projects aimed at enhancing citizens' quality of life and safeguarding the environment.
