The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) group successfully executed approximately 70 projects in Kazakhstan, with a total value exceeding $1.6 bn. This information was disclosed during a meeting held on March 4 between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, and IDB President, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Nurtleu highlighted Kazakhstan’s economic potential. In response, Al Jasser expressed optimism for ongoing collaboration between Kazakhstan and the IsDB, with the bank’s active participation in projects aimed at further developing the Kazakh economy.
Nurtleu was in Saudi Arabia on a working visit to partake in the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Earlier, Daryo reported that the state agency “Turkmenaragatnashyk” (Turkmencommunication) partnered with the IsDB to implement several projects in Turkmenistan. These projects, worth $273 mn, are aimed at expanding and modernising the networks of telecom operators in the country.
