Qazaq Air is set to commence operations on the Turkestan–Samarkand route on March 15, 2024, the Civil Aviation Committee’s press service reported. The flights will be conducted twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays, using the De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.
The Civil Aviation Committee has expressed that the augmentation in flight frequency will foster the growth of trade, economic, business, investment, and tourism collaboration between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Renewal of Astana-Novosibirsk flights
Earlier, Qazaq Air also declared the resumption of flights from Astana to Novosibirsk starting January 15, 2024. The flights will be serviced by the new generation Canadian-made De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The schedule (local time) is as follows:
- IQ 5005: Astana 20:40 – Novosibirsk 23:30
- IQ 5006: Novosibirsk 00:30 – Astana 01:20
The reinstatement of air service between Kazakhstan and Russia is anticipated to further enhance trade, economic, tourist, cultural, and business cooperation between the two nations.
