The trial concerning the "Dok-1 Max" syrup advanced into the negotiation phase on February 12, with the prosecutor's proposal of imprisoning the director of Quramax company for 20 years.
Prosecutor's Case
Addressing the court, the prosecutor underscored that the guilt of the accused has been substantiated by the evidence presented during the court investigation. However, he chose not to delve into the specifics of the incident during the negotiation phase.
Sentencing Demands
The prosecutor put forth a request for severe sentencing, proposing a 20-year imprisonment term for the director of Quramax Medical, the official importer of the syrup into Uzbekistan. Emphasizing the gravity of the offense, he specified that the punishment should be served in general-order colonies.
Furthermore, the state prosecutor advocated for stringent penalties for other implicated individuals, the former head of the Agency for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industries, along with his two deputies. He urged for an 18-year prison sentence for each of them. Additionally, he demanded a prohibition on their engagement in roles involving financial responsibility or official positions for a period of three years.
