In a recent development, Amrillo Shodievich Inoyatov has been appointed as the Director of the Institute of Health and Strategic Development, as announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health in Uzbekistan.
Dr. Amrillo Inoyatov, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, was born in the Bukhara region in 1979. He is an alumnus of the Bukhara State Medical Institute, where he graduated in medicine. His professional journey includes various roles at the institute from 2001 to 2012, including serving as the head of the department of surgical dentistry.
In the subsequent years, from 2012 to 2014, Dr. Inoyatov held the position of dean of the dental faculty at the institute. In 2017-2020, he served as the rector of the Bukhara State Medical Institute. Following this, he worked as the deputy adviser to the president on youth, science, education, health, culture, and sports.
The Institute of Health and Strategic Development, established by a presidential decree on September 6, is a consolidation of efforts, combining the Center for Supporting a Healthy Lifestyle and Increasing Physical Activity of the Population. This center was formed in December 2019 based on the Republican Educational and Scientific Center for Dietetics at the Tashkent Medical Academy.
The primary objectives of the Institute of Health and Strategic Development include the development and implementation of programs promoting a healthy lifestyle, prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. The institute is also tasked with designing and executing comprehensive measures to combat bad habits, foster a sustainable medical culture among the population, and formulate scientifically-based proposals for the healthcare system's development based on progressive international experiences.
Additionally, the institute is entrusted with the responsibility of forming and maintaining medical statistics, suggesting implementations of international standards in statistical indicators, and enhancing the overall efficiency of data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination in the field of medicine.
