In a recent analysis conducted by the Travel Mag portal, accommodation prices during the New Year celebration were compared across 60 major cities worldwide. The study utilized the price of the cheapest double room in a 3-star hotel located in the city center for a 3-night stay spanning from December 30, 2023, to January 2, 2024.
The results revealed that the city of New Orleans in the USA secured the top spot, with a 3-day stay in a 3-star hotel costing $1,190 on New Year's Day.
Claiming the second position was another U.S. city, Miami Beach, where holiday expenditures averaged $1,184.
The third spot went to New York City, USA, with a 3-day holiday package amounting to $1,164.
The top 10 cities in terms of New Year accommodation prices are as follows:
