In a significant move to boost tourism and enhance the hospitality industry in Kyrgyzstan, the construction of a luxurious five-star hotel and an accompanying park has officially commenced on the pristine shores of Issyk-Kul Lake. This ambitious project is a testament to the growing focus on the development of the region as a top tourist destination, and it has garnered substantial attention both locally and internationally.

The announcement of this remarkable initiative came from none other than Kanybek Tumanbaev, the head of the Department of Presidential Affairs, who took to social media to share the exciting news. Tumanbaev emphasized the urgent need for improved tourism infrastructure in the country, acknowledging that many Soviet-era buildings were now outdated and unable to cater to the modern traveler's needs.

In his statement, Tumanbaev expressed his optimism about the growing momentum in the country's construction and tourism sectors over the last two years. Notably, he highlighted the development of new recreation areas, cottages, and upscale hotels to accommodate the influx of tourists.

“Recreation areas, cottages, and five-star hotels are being built and renovated. Construction of a five-star hotel with all conditions has begun in Issyk-Kul, and there will be a park nearby,” Kanybek Tumanbaev shared.

The centerpiece of this burgeoning effort is the five-star hotel under construction along the serene shores of Issyk-Kul Lake. This establishment is set to offer an array of amenities and services that will undoubtedly cater to the most discerning travelers. Alongside the hotel, a picturesque park will be developed to enhance the overall experience for visitors, promising a tranquil retreat amidst the captivating natural beauty of Issyk-Kul.

Key to the initiation of this project is an investment agreement inked by Kanybek Tumanbaev and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ramin Namik oghlu Guluzade. This agreement signifies a remarkable collaboration between the two nations, aiming to bring exceptional facilities and services to this stunning region. The signing of this agreement is indicative of the shared vision and commitment to further developing the tourism industry and fostering stronger diplomatic ties.

To facilitate this venture, the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers approved the allocation of approximately 17.24 hectares of land in Kara-Oi village to Azerbaijan. This land grant will serve as the foundation for the construction of the five-star hotel, ensuring a prime location with unparalleled views of Issyk-Kul Lake. Furthermore, Azerbaijan has been granted the right to extend this agreement for an additional 49 years, securing a long-term investment in the tourism sector and reaffirming their dedication to the project's success.
