UzAuto Motors has announced that the contracting for the 2024 models of Chevrolet Cobalt, Damas, and Labo is expected to resume in the second half of December. The exact date will be disclosed later by the company.
The prices for these models will remain at the current level. The base model of Cobalt can be purchased from UZS 124,264,000 ($10,100), Damas from UZS 93,156,000 ($7,571), and Labo from UZS 93,771,000 ($7,621). The contract will cover the entire production volume planned for the next year.
The company has suspended ordering these popular models since December 2022 due to issues with the supply of electronic components and parts. However, several batches of these cars were sold in August and September, with about 51,000 contracts signed in August alone.
The company has advised buyers to place orders online to avoid queues at car dealerships. Despite rumours of fraud in car sales, the automaker has confirmed the legitimacy of the sales and acknowledged some issues with online orders, announcing an update to the online sales system.
