Uzbekistan has secured the seventh position worldwide for the number of immigration visas issued under the Green Card program, as reported by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan.
The diplomatic department emphasized the various avenues available for individuals to live, pursue education, and work in the United States, urging them to opt for legal and secure means of travel.
The announcement follows the unveiling of the results of the DV-2024 lottery program in May 2023. Notably, the application period for the DV-2025 program spanned from October 4 to November 7.
The Green Card, a coveted official document, grants foreigners the privilege of permanent residence in the United States. Holders of the Green Card enjoy the rights to work and study in the U.S., alongside access to state benefits and social programs. Moreover, possessing a Green Card serves as the initial step towards obtaining U.S. citizenship.
As Uzbekistan secures its standing on the global stage in Green Card issuance, individuals are encouraged to explore the opportunities provided by this pathway for legal and secure travel to the United States.
