Two combat helicopters have been added to the Kyrgyz Air Force, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports. President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, shared the news that in 2021, Uzbekistan provided Kyrgyzstan with a MI-8MTV military helicopter at no cost.
Furthermore, a similar aircraft was transported to the Chirchik aircraft repair plant for a thorough overhaul, with the entire reconstruction process being undertaken by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Recent announcements from relevant Uzbekistani authorities indicate that the MI-8MTV has been completely restored and is now prepared for operational use, as reported by Sputnik Kyrgyzstan.
The Ministry of Defense experts in Kyrgyzstan took possession of this helicopter, overseeing its transportation from Chirchik to Chirchik, Osh, and ultimately to Bishkek, verifying its readiness for active deployment. Kyrgyzstan's leader expressed profound gratitude to Uzbekistan's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, for the valuable contribution to bolstering the Kyrgyz Republic's air force fleet.
Earlier, it was reported that the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014, regarding the determination of the procedure for collecting indirect taxes when providing services in electronic form.
