Following the completion of his program of events in Samarkand, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has embarked on a working visit to China, press service of president has reported.
During this visit, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the third International Belt and Road Forum taking place in Beijing. Additionally, the schedule includes planned negotiations with the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and meetings with the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang Huning, as well as several other bilateral engagements.
Earlier, Daryo reported that on October 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the 25th General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in Samarkand. He emphasized tourism's global economic importance and proposed initiatives, including a Global Safe Tourism Code, "green" tourism, and a World Inclusive Tourism Year. He inaugurated an International Tourism Academy and suggested a World Youth Tourism Summit. These proposals aim to enhance international cooperation and promote sustainable tourism, reflecting a vision of unity and prosperity through travel.
