Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Muhammad Abunaiyan, the Chairman of the Board of ACWA Power Company on August 30, the president's press service reports.
During the meeting, detailed discussions took place regarding the future expansion of practical collaboration with the Saudi company and the acceleration of priority projects within the country. The President acknowledged the strong level of effective partnership that exists with ACWA Power, a company that is currently making significant investments in Uzbekistan's energy network development and modernization.
The conversation specifically delved into matters concerning modern thermal power plants, wind, and solar energy installations, the construction of energy infrastructure, the production of environmentally friendly "green" hydrogen, and the advancement of projects related to equipment and component localization based on advanced technological solutions.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the vital importance of sustaining efforts to attract prominent Saudi corporations and financial institutions to Uzbekistan, as part of the activities carried out within the joint businessmen's council co-chaired by Muhammad Abunaiyan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of ACWA Power expressed gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the recognition of his work and the honor of being awarded the state decoration "Dostlik".
