Bakhtiyar Khodzhaniyazov, a famous potter-craftsman from the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan, once created a ceramic vase "The Great Silk Road" for the Central Museum of Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
The Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports that Khodzhaniyazov also mastered the production of ceramic tiles that correspond to the technology of ancient majolica. This product with fanciful patterns and ornaments was used in the restoration of the tomb of the Nedzhmeddin Kubra mausoleum.
This unique architectural monument, located in Kunya-Urgench in northern Turkmenistan, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The article says that Khodjaniyazov participated in a number of prestigious international exhibitions held in Iran, the United States and Uzbekistan.
The folk craftsman opened a pottery school. His son Adylbek followed in his footsteps. Habib's daughter is a graduate of the ceramics department of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
