Chinese companies plan to build fertiliser and technical carbon plants in Turkmenistan's Balkan region, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
The production capacity of the first plant, whose general contractor is "Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd", will be 1,200 tonnes of ammonia and 1,950 tonnes of granulated urea per day. The plant will consume 450-500mn cubic metres of natural gas.
"FushunZhenxing Chemical Engineering Design Co.,Ltd" is the general contractor of the project to produce carbon black from excess associated gas from oil production.
The production capacity of one semi-mobile unit is 1,500 tonnes annualy. The main raw material will be the volume of gas consumed - 9mn cubic metres of associated gas.
These products are used in various industries such as rubber, tyres, paints, plastics, medicine, aerospace, and radio electronics.
