UzAuto Motors has revealed plans to recommence operations at the Asaka car factory on July 17.
This development is expected to result in an increase of 30,000 units of cobalt production on an annual basis.
The temporary shutdown of the UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka was due to planned work on modernizing the production lines.
The company announced the two-week break on June 30.
Currently, specialists are gradually starting the workshops, and by Monday, July 17, the company expects to be operating at full capacity.
The work plan included installing new equipment, maintaining two production lines, and renovating the paint shop. Additionally, preventive work was scheduled in the press, welding, and assembly workshops.
The program also upgraded the infrastructure by replacing the main electrical transformer and two auxiliary transformer points.
UzAuto Motors anticipates an increase in production speed to 35 cars per hour on the first line and 30 vehicles on the second line, resulting in an additional 30,000 Chevrolet Cobalt cars produced annually.
