At least one person has died as a result of the night shelling of Kyiv by the Russian army, reported the Mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko on July 13. The victim's body was discovered during the fire extinguishing operation in a residential building.
At least four others have been injured, as per to the State Emergency Service. Two of them sustained shrapnel wounds, while the other two suffered from smoke inhalation.
Ukrainian authorities report that Kyiv was attacked by Iranian-produced kamikaze drones, all 20 of which were destroyed. Debris from the drones fell in four districts of the city. As a result, residential buildings were damaged, and fires broke out.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that their air defence systems also destroyed two "Kalibr" missiles.
