On July 13, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss military-technical cooperation, media reports.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral relations, particularly in the military and technical spheres.
They also acknowledged the significance of the recent visit by the President of Israel, President Isaac Herzog, to Azerbaijan in advancing relations between the two countries.
Additionally, they emphasized the importance of opening an embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel to expand cooperation further.
Besides, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant met with Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, who emphasized the significant role played by the strong partnership between Azerbaijan and Israel. This partnership is not only beneficial for the development of both countries but also contributes to the overall security of the region.
The Israeli Defense Minister is currently visiting Baku on an official trip.
