The Belarusian embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, was targeted in an attack during the night from Saturday to Sunday, AZERNEWS reports citing Dutch media sources.
Three windows were broken, and slogans were written on the walls. A 31-year-old man was apprehended at the scene as a suspect. Photographs reveal red and black graffiti containing messages such as "Long live Belarus!" and "Luka is a terrorist," likely referring to President Alexander Lukashenko.
Dutch Parliament member Sierd Sierdsma condemned the incident on Twitter, urging against attacking embassies or residences, as it puts Dutch diplomats abroad at greater risk and does not contribute to resolving issues with other countries.
