Starting July 1, owners who register or re-register their real estate and land will receive a new document called the real estate cadastral passport. According to media, this combines the state certificate and registration certificate into one document for both the house and plot, allowing Kazakhstanis to establish full rights to their property.
The old format documents still hold legal weight, but citizens can choose to reissue them into the new format. Additionally, the digitization of information for all land plots in 89 cities is underway and will be available on the eGov website. This will enable citizens to participate in auctions for vacant land, although most of these plots are located on the outskirts of cities.
Ainur Yusupova, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, explained that failure to register property rights could result in another person taking ownership of the land.
