A recently conducted survey reveals that a significant majority of American consumers expressed their willingness to pay a higher price for a car if it would contribute to the creation of new jobs within the United States, Forbes reports. Cars.com to whom Forbes refers, also compiled a special index highlighting the "most American cars" of 2023.
The results of the index revealed that the top four positions were dominated by Tesla models (Model 3, X, Y, S), which are manufactured in the USA and widely used by Americans. Interestingly, Ford's F-150, known as one of the best-selling cars in the country, ranked 66th in the index. Surprisingly, two Honda models, Ridgeline and Tundra, surpassed the F-150 in the rankings.
Despite being a Japanese company, Honda incorporates American parts in the production of its voice-controlled cars. This factor contributed to Honda's ability to surpass Ford in the rankings. A total of 388 cars were evaluated in the survey.
In previous news, it was reported that Expocar had signed an agreement with the Tesla factory for the direct supply of electric cars to Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kyrgyzstan. The prices of electric cars vary across these countries but are generally lower than the average market price.
