Massive fire erupted at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, on Monday, June 19, AP News reports. Police said firefighters were on the scene and that the fire at Europa-Park in the town of Rust, near the French border, was "under control."
"At present, all visitors are being safely evacuated from the park," police in the southwestern city of Offenburg said. "There is currently no information about any injuries."
The regional daily newspaper Badische Zeitung reported that the fire was concentrated in the park's Spanish-themed section and an area known as the Diamond Fairy World. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Europa-Park is a popular tourist destination, attracting over 6 million visitors last year, mainly from Germany, France, and Switzerland.
