The British Foreign Office has announced that the UK government has designated an extra $20mn in financial assistance to Ukraine in order to support the victims affected by the tragic incident at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
As Ukraine grapples with the aftermath of severe flooding resulting from the collapse of the Novaya Kakhovka dam on June 10, the United Kingdom has stepped forward to provide additional humanitarian aid amounting to approximately $20mn.
The British Foreign Office stated that this decision was made in light of the existing humanitarian assistance of over $275mn already allocated to Ukraine.
