Astana has hosted the 7th Kazakh-Spanish Business Council meeting, where around 150 participants from Kazakhstan and 35 companies from Spain attended.
The discussion covered various domains such as water treatment plants, agriculture and water management, and engineering, and both parties expressed their commitment to promoting environmental transitions, combatting climate change, and fostering gender equality.
As per the media's report, the trade turnover between the two nations has surged by almost 42% from the previous year, amounting to about €2.5bn.
Kanat Charlapayev, co-chairman of the business council, expressed his excitement for forthcoming negotiations.
Chiana Mendes, representing the Spanish side, expressed confidence that the meeting would facilitate the further development of joint projects and enhance economic ties, which are currently robust.
The two countries aim to maintain a robust economic growth rate and attain elevated tax revenues through continued collaboration.
