A charitable festival was recently held at Central Park, named after Mirzo Ulugbek in Tashkent, showcasing the cultural traditions and national dishes of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan, Dunyo reports.
Participants from various countries, including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Germany, Georgia, India, Italy, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Palestine, Russia, Romania, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Oman, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and others, joined the event.
Since 2000, the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Service under Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry has been consistently organizing this festival, which has now become a regular event. During the festival, embassy employees showcase their culinary prowess and cultural practices to both locals and tourists alike.
During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Gairat Fazilov, highlighted that the festival enriches the country's cultural life and contributes to tourism development.
Besides displaying national dishes, the festival also featured performances by folklore and ethnographic collectives from the participating countries.
