Ukrainian First Lady Yelena Zelenska met with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and sought military weaponry for Kyiv, Reuters reports. The talks were held while Zelenska was in South Korea for a media presentation.
According to Yoon's spokesperson, Lee Do-woon, Zelenska, serving as the president's special envoy, voiced her need for non-lethal military weapons, notably mine detection devices for Ukraine.
Yoon told Zelenska that South Korea will provide active assistance to the Ukrainian nation. In a conversation with South Korean news agency Yonhap, Zelenska additionally mentioned the potential of Yoon traveling to Ukraine.
South Korea, one of the biggest suppliers of ammunition for guns, stated that because of its links with Russia, it will not be selling arms to Ukraine. However, Yoon earlier stated in a conversation with Reuters that if there was a major assault on people in Ukraine or a scenario that world leaders judged intolerable, his administration may send humanitarian or monetary aid.
