The President of Uzbekistan has signed a new decree to boost Uzbekistan's tourism potential. As part of this initiative, airfare prices will be reduced, and new flights will be established between cities in the Central Asian country, UzA reports.
The Ministry of Transport and Uzbekistan Airports JSC have been instructed to organize flights from Tashkent to Nukus, Urgench, Bukhara, Karshi, and Samarkand at a discounted rate of up to two times lower than the current fares. Additionally, regular flights will be established between Fergana, Namangan, and Andijan to Bukhara, Samarkand, Termez, and Urgench.
The document has also made provisions for removing limitations on flights and air communications of foreign airlines and implementing the "Fifth Freedom of the Air" under the newly introduced "Open Skies" policy at Samarkand International Airport.
