The conduct of structural and investment policy, and the formation of state policy in the field of culture, education, health, tourism, and sports were excluded from the functions of the government. The Cabinet of Ministers reportedly will not ensure the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, monitoring their implementation by ministries and local executive bodies.
In addition, a number of government powers were transferred to the authorized bodies in the field of state symbols of Kazakhstan. In particular, this concerns the work on the production of samples of the national flag and the coat of arms of the country, as well as the approval of the rules for replacing and destroying these state symbols.
The ministries will form the state policy on investment, development of culture, education, healthcare, tourism, and sports in their area of competence.
