Presidential schools and other specialized educational institutions in Uzbekistan may begin teaching Spanish, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
The initiative was taken by the country's embassy in Madrid, which organized a meeting between the Agency of Specialized Educational Institutions under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of introducing bilingual departments in presidential and creative workshops, assistant programs for foreign language teachers, and the use of resources from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
Additionally, the Spanish delegation plans to visit Uzbekistan to establish cooperation relations and discuss these matters further. Furthermore, students in the schools where the Spanish program is implemented will be awarded a Spanish certificate along with their national certificate.
