Uzbekistan has entered the top ten countries where Russians want to leave for good. RBC reports with reference to a study by the consulting company Yakov and Partners.
Next to Uzbekistan on the list are Kazakhstan (8) and Azerbaijan (10). Canada is the most popular country for Russians to move followed by the United States and Cyprus.
Among the respondents, 58% declared their desire to leave Russia. In 2020, this figure was 47%. Currently, only 6% of the company's survey participants are actively looking for work abroad.
Most of all, journalists and linguists (37% each), engineers, and specialists in law and the humanities (33% each) want to build a career abroad. Physicians (15%), literary critics and social workers (17% each) are least interested in this type of employment.
