A major Turkish logistics company, S Sistem Lojistik, plans to invest in the development of logistics and warehouse infrastructure across Kazakhstan, aiming to bolster the country’s role as a key Eurasian transport hub.

The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hüseyin Barlin, Chairman of the Board of S Sistem Lojistik. The proposed facilities, with an estimated total investment of around $100mn, will fund the construction of a modern network of logistics and warehouse terminals in major cities including Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Aktau, and others.
As part of the discussions, both parties explored the possibility of signing an Investment Agreement and a Special Investment Contract. These frameworks would provide government-backed support, including tax preferences, infrastructure access, and facilitation in securing land plots and coordinating with regional authorities.

“Projects like those proposed by S Sistem Lojistik are crucial for improving the efficiency of both domestic and transit transportation,” said Ospankulov. “We see logistics as a strategic sector for economic diversification and are ready to offer comprehensive support.”
Barlin highlighted Kazakhstan’s unique position along key transit corridors and praised the country’s favorable investment climate. He expressed confidence that the planned facilities would meet international standards and improve the movement of goods within and beyond Kazakhstan.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue coordination with relevant ministries and regional akimats to ensure effective implementation. The Kazakh side welcomed the investment, noting its potential to create jobs, improve infrastructure, and attract further foreign capital.
