A video showing that the wall of a newly built multi-storey building in Tashkent allegedly cracked after the earthquake has spread on social networks. The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy commented on the incident and said it had no connection to the earthquake.
It is noted that the house shown in the video was built in the Yashnabad district. This situation reportedly occurred due to the brick manufacturing company's low-quality brick supply to the building.
The customer who received these construction materials filed a lawsuit against the court authorities to compensate for the damage caused. The repair of the facade of the building is scheduled to be completed in April.
The ministry added that no appeals about buildings destroyed or damaged by the earthquake were received on the 1298 hotline.
