The Agency for external labour migration released a statement on a mass fight between construction workers from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at a residential complex in Moscow.
According to reports, the incident kindled from a mere misunderstanding that occurred while waiting in line in the kitchen on March 18 of this year which turned into a mass brawl involving 50-60 citizens.
The police officers who promptly arrived at the scene arrested 40 lawbreakers and took them to the nearest police station.
They were later released after writing explanatory letters. Most of the injured were Uzbek nationals. In the coming days, the consular department and the agency are planning to hold a meeting with the management of the construction company.
