In cooperation with Interpol's National Central Bureaus (NCB) in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi, the issue of deportation of an internationally wanted criminal was resolved, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
Deportation of the woman, who was involved in human trafficking and was internationally wanted, was reportedly carried out through joint search and exchange of information and the negotiations between leaders of the Interpol NCBs of the two countries.
According to the reports, the woman in question formed an organized criminal group to send women to the United Arab Emirates to engage in prostitution. The investigation did not immidiately identify members of the group. The woman reportedly found the victims among women who were separated from their families and faced financial difficulties. Victims then were taken to the UAE through third world countries and promised good jobs, but upon arrival in Dubai, their passports were taken away and they were sent to engage in prostitution.
After arrest of the criminal as a result of coordinated actions between the Interpol NCBs in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi, a decision was made to deport her to the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan.
Daryo.uz has previously reported that Latvia had extradited a citizen of Uzbekistan, who introduced himself as an embassy employee and tricked people.
