Xushvaqt Azizov - the representative of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) in his interview with "Daryo" talked about the cancellation of commission payments for certain public services, integration of Humo and Uzcard infrastructure, the possibility of cash withdrawal at all local supermarkets, and banks transferring money even on holidays.
Some commission fees will be canceled
From May 1 of this year, the intermediary fee for providing payment services for beneficiary budget and corporate customers, regardless of the form of payment, will be paid by the receiver - not an individual. That is, the brokerage fee is paid from the account of the recipient of payments. In this case, the amount of the mediation fee is up to one percent of the payment amount, but the total amount does not exceed the threshold amounts determined by the regulator.
Citizens will be made more comfortable in making mandatory execution, budget, fines, payments for public services, or other types of payments.
Possibility to withdraw cash from supermarkets
On May 1, in Tashkent, a system of providing cash to residents through bank cards will be introduced in daily service branches equipped with virtual cash registers. This, in turn, is determined by the amount limited by the Central Bank or based on the daily sales revenue of the business entity. For example, if a citizen buys goods from a supermarket and when he pays for the products, he will be able to cash out at checkout. There is a limit to it and technical guidelines are currently being developed.
Integration of Uzcard and Humo
The network of ATMs will reach remote villages and provide more convenience to the residents this year and the infrastructure of terminals of Uzcard and Humo payment systems will be integrated as well.
Currently, the number of ATMs in the republic is more than 12,400. In densely populated areas, there are 2-system ATMs, that is, 4 ATMs in one place. Two of them belong to Uzcard and two to the Humo payment system. As a result of their integration, instead of four ATMs, two ATMs will be placed in the locations. The remaining two will be delivered to remote areas, and through this, the population will be able to fully use the ATM services.
"Now the budget employees will also receive a monthly bank account"
Until now, it was not possible to make payments from the treasury accounts of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. With the new decision, payments can be made 24/7 as a result of integration into the instant payment system of the Central Bank. That is, it will be possible to make any payments from the treasury account even on weekends and holidays. This does not apply to bank working days, but funds will be paid online and quickly.
According to the decision, after connecting to the 24/7 instant payment system, it will be possible to transfer the monthly salary on weekends and other days. There will be no delays in payments even if banks are not working on those days.
