The Samarkand Law enforcement officers were tipped off about a man who presented himself as an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The stranger assured a visitor that he could resolve any problems related to Law, Podrobno.uz reports.
A suspect born in 1992 in the Pastdargomsky district reportedly worked in the internal affairs system but was fired.
In February, he met a 40-year-old local resident in the building of one of the departments of the Samarkand Internal Affairs Department. Posing as an employee of the department, the swindler promised him to solve the criminal issue for $5,000. However, the victim audio-recorded the entire conversation and reported it to the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.
A so-called problem-solver was caught red-handed while receiving 5 thousand dollars. Currently, the investigation is underway.
