Animal rights activists have detected a slaughterhouse for dogs in the Tashkent region, media reports. On Saturday (March 4), the Society for the Protection of Animals 'Mehr va Oqibat' received a complaint about animal cruelty at the Ahmad Yasawi collective farm. Reportedly, the dogs were being slaughtered and cruelly killed in one of the houses.
Volunteers went to the address indicated in the application, contacted the district police officer, and called 102. While they were waiting for law enforcement officers to come, they heard the heartbreaking squeals of dogs.
When representatives of Mehr va Oqibat, together with police officers, got into the house, they saw blood in the yard, and dozens of dog skins, which house owners tried to dig into the ground. The landlord claimed that dogs are not slaughtered here.
Volunteers managed to rescue 35 remaining dogs and 9 puppies. 10 dogs were taken to the Gavcheg shelter, the Mehr center agreed to accept the rest.
