The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved amendments to the law "On Consumer Credit" that annuls the procedure for written notification of an organization selling consumer goods and services over receiving a consumer loan.
The Law will legalize consumer loans for goods and services sold by individuals and legal entities, as well as goods and services imported to Uzbekistan.
Currently, consumer loans are given only for cars, household appliances, goods and services produced in Uzbekistan.
“The law serves to facilitate the process of obtaining consumer loans to the population, expanding the scope of production and provision of services in the country, the report says.
The document has been sent to the President for signing.
