3 hydroelectric power stations are being built in the Namangan region, capable of supplying 65-70 thousand households with electricity. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Energy.
2 small hydroelectric power stations with a total capacity of 12 MW were built and put into operation in 2019 in the part of the Great Fergana Canal that passed through the Uchkurgan district of the Namangan region. Currently, 3 hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 23 MW are being built on the large Andijan canal.
