Representatives of Uzbekistan's Embassy in Baku held a meeting with compatriots working in Azerbaijan, Dunyo reports. In particular, the diplomats examined Uzbek nationals' living and working conditions, listened to their requests and problems, and shared information on current amendments in state approaches to protecting and supporting fellow citizens abroad.
In particular, current migration policy and measures to protect the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens engaged in temporary work abroad were discussed, and a presidential decree on additional criteria to further improve the system of combating human trafficking and forced labor.
The compatriots expressed their readiness to contribute to the promotion of national culture, as well as the development of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
