Uzbek exporters may soon increase freight shipments to EU markets via the Aktau seaport, Dunyo reported on February 16. Aktau seaport President Abai Turikpenbayev held a meeting with the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Aktau Atabek Tursynbekov to address the collaboration expansion in the transport and logistics sectors.
Reportedly, Abai Turikpenbayev expressed the port’s readiness to accept applications from Uzbek exporters to transport goods through the Aktau seaport as well as to provide them with special benefits.
The Aktau seaport is located on the Caspian Sea’s eastern coast, at the crossroads of several international trade routes.
