Experts of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research have analyzed changes in the geography and types of the export products of Uzbekistan for 2017-2022.
In six years, the country managed to sell its products to 16 countries expanding the overall number to 117. Peru (3,965.9 thousand US dollars), Albania (3 196.3 thousand US dollars), North Macedonia ($ 1,454.7 thousand), Senegal (311.7 thousand US dollars) and Mauritius ($ 303.1 thousand) are among the new export destinations of Uzbekistan.
Now, the republic has gained the right to trade ready-made products. In 2021, cotton yarn export reached $ 1,613.5 million, ready knitted and sewing products - $ 644.9 million, stuffed fabrics - $ 242.8 million dollars, fabric - $ 131.6 million, silk products - $ 78.1 million and carpet - for $ 42.1 million.
Uzbekistan also ramped up the production and sale of household appliances to Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.
