The presidential decree "On additional measures to ensure the protection and rational use of pastures" envisions the following measures in 2023. This was reported by the "Huquqiy axborot" Telegram channel.
The officials should effectively use 7.8 million dollars, granted by the international financial institutions to:
- establish producing soft fodder for small horned cattle with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons;
- organize a livestock genetic research laboratory;
- record online 500,000 cattle in cattle-breeding farms.
- use 800 hectares of pastures for grain cultivation.
Until August 1, 2023:
- leased pasture land areas (except for forest fund lands) are inspected, the condition of pasture use and the fulfilment of contractual requirements are studied;
- measures will be taken in connection with cases of unintended use of pasture lands;
- electronic accounting of pasture land areas will be established.
By September 1, 2023, the new law "On Pastures" will be prepared.
