Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on Tuesday (February 14) received United Nations Secretary-General Special Representative, head of United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia Gherman.
Reportedly, Acting FM Bakhtiyor Saidov congratulated Natalia Gherman on the successful completion of the mission, stressing that under her leadership, UNRCCA has contributed to preserving peace and stability, strengthening cooperation, and sustainable development in the region.
Besides, the head of the governmental department expressed hope that Natalia Gherman, as head of the Executive Directorate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the Security Council, will further contribute to strengthening cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.

On her part, Natalia Gherman thanked the Uzbek side for full cooperation in her professional activity, saying that during her work, she has witnessed radical changes in Central Asia, especially in Uzbekistan. Appreciation is expressed for the open, pragmatic, and constructive foreign policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, whose main priority is to develop good-neighborly and mutually beneficial partnership relations with neighboring states. She confirmed her readiness to continue close cooperation with Uzbekistan in her new position and contribute to effectively managing challenges and threats.
