Uzbekistan's athlete Ekaterina Voronina on Friday (February 11) won a gold medal at the pentathlon competition on the first day of the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Kazakhstan's capital Astana, Dunyo reports.
According to Uzbekistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC), the athlete scored 4,386 points. Swapna Barnan from India scored 4,119 points occupying second place. Yuki Yamasaki from Japan closed the top three with 4,078 points.
