According to the presidential decree "On criteria for categorizing business entities and measures to further improve tax policy and tax administration", Uzbek businessmen may claim to reimburse a part of property insurance costs.
According to the document, from April 1, 2023, medium-sized business entities will be reimbursed up to 50 percent of property insurance costs, but not more than 6 million soums, once a year.
A 20 percent quota will be introduced in state purchases for entrepreneurs whose income is not less than 10 billion soums. The procedure for covering up to 6% of the export value of the expenses related to the production of products and their sale to the foreign market of enterprises exporting high-added-value copper products will be cancelled.
The document divides into categories based on the following criteria:
- self-employed;
- small business whose founders are individuals and whose total annual income is up to 1 billion soums;
- small business owners with a total annual income of 1 billion to 10 billion soums.
- Medium-sized business entities are whose total annual income is from 10 billion to 100 billion soums.
- Large business entities with a total annual income of 100 billion soums or more.
