Based on the educational standards of the Korean University, doctors and nurses will be trained in Uzbekistan, to upgrade their qualifications and scientific research abilities. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Health.
According to the report, Health Minister Amrillo Inoyatov and President of Korea University Jin Tae Chang noted that cooperation with the Korean University is being carried out within the framework of the international scientific grant on "Improving education in the field of healthcare at the Tashkent Medical Academy". Additionally, the department of "Environment and human health" and a modern scientific centre, equipped with advanced laboratory equipment, were established in the academy. Both projects are aimed at studying harmful and dangerous substances in the environment and assessing their impact on the health of the population and workers.
The Korean specialists expressed their readiness to help in training doctors and nurses based on the educational standards of Korea University. At the end of the meeting, the Uzbek side conferred the title of "Honorary Professor" of the Academy to the president of Korea University, Jin Tae Chang before signing the Memorandum of Understanding.
