The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has decided to allocate premises at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tashkent for 100 families experiencing difficulties due to the extreme cold.
It is planned to organize round-the-clock heating points in all neighborhoods of five districts of the capital assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These include Chilanzar, Bektemir, Yashnabad, Yunusabad, and Mirzo-Ulugbek districts. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has set up working groups to study the problems of residents, help to eliminate accidents, monitor the schedule of rolling outages, and help elderly, large, and needy families.
Law enforcement agencies assist electricity, heat, and gas supply companies, as well as the service of improvement. In particular, they are involved in cleaning the sidewalks and streets of snow and ice.
In addition, mobile teams of health workers working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been established to provide medical assistance to the inhabitants of the mahallas in five districts.
Raids are also planned to identify energy theft.
