Uzbekistan Airways starting from Tuesday (January 10) intends to operate a flight on the ‘Tashkent – Beijing – Tashkent’ route. This announcement comes after a three–year break since the regular flights from Tashkent to the Chinese capital were temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first resumed flight in 2023 will be carried out in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological rules.
‘Uzbekistan Airways intends to restore regular flights between Tashkent and Beijing. This, in turn, is a great opportunity for passengers and serves as a direct link between countries,’ the report of Uzbekistan's flag carrier airline reads.
Flights will be operated on Tuesdays. Starting in February, Uzbekistan Airways plans to launch flights to Beijing twice a week.
Headquartered in Tashkent, Uzbekistan Airways reports that to enter Beijing, passengers need:
- a visa (working, student, tourist, etc.);
- before entering China, one needs to have a negative COVID-19 test result for a period not exceeding 48 hours.
