Numerous reports have been circulating on social media networks about the uprising inflow of hospitalized child patients suffering from coronavirus in Uzbekistan recently.
The Central Asian republic’s Health Ministry has refuted these rumors and noted that the last increase in the incidence of acute respiratory diseases and Covid-19 among children was detected in the fall of the previous year.
‘Back then, 500 additional beds were arranged for patients in the Zangiota Infectious Diseases Hospital. However, the epidemiological situation is stable now, the incidence rates are low,’ the message of the Ministry reads.
